13th November- International Kindness Day

Being kind is not about being a saint, never having bad thoughts, it’s about not following up on them, choosing to not act upon them.

Being kind is not about never making mistakes, it’s about having the bravery to admit them and the willingness to make up for them.

Being kind is not about not speaking out your mind or truth, but about having the strength to speak out your views whilst keeping an open-mind and heart for the point of view of others.

At the end of the day, kindness can only truly be practised by those who are respectful and kind to themselves. For you can’t really give to others what you haven’t learn to give to yourself and when you give yourself the “victim” role in life.

Kindness shines out of all of us whenever we are mindful, aware, sensitive, compassionate and magnanimous.

If we daily strive to step into the shoes of others before we speak, we will speak kinder words.

If we daily aim to see through the sensitive emotions and tender actions of those around us, we will make more divine and heartfelt thoughts.

If we begin to be more generous with the love we offer, others will mirror it back to us. Deep honest bonds and real communication and sharing amongst humans, can ever truly take place through kindness.

Let us all aim daily to foster a culture of kindness and generosity, within ourselves, within our immediate family, within our social circle and within our world at large.

Love and Light,
